Output formats
A profile’s format shapes the text before the template wraps it. Pick one in the profile editor under Shape the text › Format; the editor shows a live preview.
The formats#
| Format | What it does |
|---|---|
| Plain text (default) | The text as cleaned up. |
| Single line | Line breaks become spaces. Good for terminals and chat inputs that send on Return, so a line break never sends half a prompt. |
| Code block | Wrapped in a ``` fenced block (```` if the text already contains ```). |
| Markdown quote | Each line starts with “> ”. |
| Shell-quoted | One safely single-quoted argument, ready for a shell command. |
| JSON string | A JSON string literal, quotes and escapes included. |
Formats run after snippets and before the template, so a template like echo {{text}} with Shell-quoted is safe to run.
